Clinical analysis laboratory
The SAN MARTINO Srl CLINICAL ANALYSIS Laboratory, a private company accredited with the Regional Health Service (DGR Veneto n°2137 of 23/12/2016), was founded in 1977 and has been located in its current headquarters at via Genova 2/C in San Martino Buon Albergo (VR) since 1988. The laboratory has two collection points in San Michele Extra (VR) and in Caldiero (VR).
Since 2013, the San Martino Laboratory has been part of a network with two laboratories operating in Verona and its province: the Gallieno Srl Clinical Analysis Laboratory (Verona) and the A. Sabin Srl Laboratory (Verona). The Network Laboratories maintain the same locations where patient acceptance and sampling (pre-analytical phase) and report collection (post-analytical phase) take place.
In March 2023, the Consorzio Lab 3 Verona SCARL was authorized and accredited by the Veneto Region as a type B network laboratory where all tests of the network laboratories are performed in via Golosine 2B, Verona.
Test execution (analytical phase) is concentrated in the Network Laboratory. The Directors in Charge and technical staff of the laboratories in question continue to work at the Network Laboratory. In July 2017, all shares of Laboratorio Analisi San Martino srl were sold to the current shareholders, the family of Dr. Marcella Pasti, Chief Director of Analisi Cliniche Gallieno srl. This acquisition represents the beginning of a process of unifying the services and quality of the two facilities, which will also share the pre- and post-analytical phases.
Fundamental principles
The fundamental principles that inspire the Company's organizational, managerial and planning decisions are:
Quality standards
The San Martino Analysis Laboratory has always built its procedures based on an important Quality Management System.
The Management, in agreement with all the staff, aims to offer a service that increasingly meets the quality requirements and needs of doctors and patients who come to our facility.
The quality of the service is constantly monitored through simple but effective tools:
- annual processing of the user satisfaction questionnaire
- complaints, suggestions (verbal and written, including by email)
- constant analysis of non-conformities and any disservices
- monitoring waiting times for collection.
Information, hospitality and courtesy
All staff strive to inform patients in simple and clear language, with kindness and courtesy, providing the necessary attention to ensure they can access our service properly. Our staff is always available to answer any questions regarding our services.
Flexibility, timeliness, reliability
The Laboratory implements a continuous quality monitoring system for analytical processes through internal and external quality controls that meet international standards. The quality of results is also guaranteed by the expertise of the staff, the use of state-of-the-art equipment, and computerized data management. Most tests are performed on the same day, ensuring timely results. Urgent tests can be reported by 1:00 PM.
By prior arrangement with the staff, blood sampling is also possible outside of normal hours. The laboratory has invested in performing all possible tests in-house and ensuring their quality and reliability. The objectives are:
Reduced reporting times; ability to evaluate results based on the reason (diagnostic question) for which the test was performed; ability to perform any necessary further investigations without having to repeat the sample.
Transparency
The Laboratory guarantees the transparency of its administrative action by making available to the public for acceptance the list of tests that can be performed, the methodology with which they are carried out, the response times and the rates applied to private individuals and those who use the SSR.
Improvement projects
The Laboratory's primary objective is to continuously improve the services it provides to its users. To this end, Management plans annual improvement objectives regarding both the perceived quality of the service (satisfaction questionnaire) and the substantive quality of the service provided.
All center staff are involved in improvement projects arising from our Quality System through weekly meetings.
Protection
We appreciate any service-related issues being reported, either verbally or in writing. Complaint forms are available at Reception. The contact for such complaints is the Quality Management System Manager, who, in consultation with Management, will endeavor to resolve the issue within the strictly necessary timeframe.
